Frix ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Frix mobile application.
Account Information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique user identifier. If you use the app anonymously, we only store an anonymous device identifier.
Photos: When you scan ingredients, the photo is uploaded to our secure servers for AI analysis. Photos are used solely for ingredient detection and are not shared with third parties.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data such as scan counts, feature usage, and app performance metrics to improve the service.
Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with encryption in transit and at rest. Photos are stored in Firebase Storage. User data and favorites are stored in Cloud Firestore with security rules that restrict access to your own data only.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Ingredient photos are retained for up to 30 days after processing and then automatically deleted. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Frix is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or via email.
