Account Information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique user identifier. If you use the app anonymously, we only store an anonymous device identifier.

Pet Information: You may provide details about your pets, including names, species, breed, age, weight, and health notes. This information is stored to provide the core functionality of the app.

Family & Household Data: When you create or join a household, we store household membership information so that family members can collaborate on pet care tasks.

Task Data: We store care tasks you create (such as feeding schedules, walks, vet appointments, and medication reminders), including assignment and completion history.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage data such as feature usage and app performance metrics to improve the service.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with encryption in transit and at rest. User data, pet profiles, and task information are stored in Cloud Firestore with security rules that restrict access to your household members only.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your pet and task data is shared only with members of your household as part of the app's core functionality.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

PetCare is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
