1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

MindScape stores all your personal data locally on your device using secure local storage. This includes:

• Study session data and exam schedules
• Focus timer records and statistics
• Achievement and streak information
• Reminder settings and preferences
• App settings and customizations

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Crash Reports and Analytics

We use Sentry, a third-party error tracking service, to collect crash reports and diagnostic information. This helps us identify and fix bugs to improve your experience. The data collected by Sentry may include:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Crash logs and error messages
• General usage patterns (non-personal)

Sentry does not collect your personal study data, exam information, or any content you enter into the app.

1.3 Subscription Information

If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Identify and fix technical issues and bugs
• Improve the App's performance and user experience
• Develop new features

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with:

• Apple: For processing subscription payments through the App Store

Your data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated and using a strong passcode.

Data transmitted to Sentry is encrypted in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols.

5. Data Retention

• Local Data: Remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data
• Crash Reports: Retained by Sentry for up to 90 days

• Right of Access: You can access your local data directly within the app
• Right to Rectification: You can edit your data directly within the app

MindScape is intended for users of all ages, including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) beyond what is stored locally on the device. Since we don't require account creation and data is stored locally, children can use the app safely under parental guidance.

8. International Data Transfers

Crash report data collected by Sentry may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Sentry complies with applicable data protection frameworks for international transfers.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
